Foodex is always a great platform to showcase our range of weighing solutions. With innovation at the centre of the event this year, it was great to see how the industry is, and continues to, develop and how we are continuing to develop our solutions as a part of this inevitable evolution.

“The event is always a valuable opportunity to engage with customers too. We were able to show visitors how we can deliver a one-stop-shop solution in the main food processing sectors including fresh produce, IQF and frozen foods and snacks and confectionery.”

In recent years, fresh food producers have been hesitant to adopt automation due to concerns about bruising of delicate fruits – which has a negative effect on shelf life. Bags of product bursting – which can increase wastage and lead to hefty retailer penalties is another major concern. Not only that, but with consumers being strongly swayed by the visual quality of the produce, shape, colour and visual defects are off-putting.

“Yamato has considerable experience with packaging lines and in ensuring that product requirements align with automation processes and were able to demonstrate that at Foodex,” says Andrea.

“All the packaging and weighing solutions we develop are tailored to the customer’s products by our team of highly skilled engineers. Foodex is our opportunity to showcase how we apply our extensive knowledge to help solve customers’ processing problems and we’re already looking forward to the 2020 show.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”c2a-news-footer”][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Talk to our experts; they can help select the right weighing solution for your business” tag=”h3″ align=”txt-align-center”][vc_btn title=”Contact an expert” size=”” align=”centered” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fyamatoscale.co.za%2Fpublic%2Fcontact%2F|title:Contact||”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

With industry and innovation at the top of the agenda at this year’s Foodex, Yamato Scale Dataweigh UK turned the spotlight onto some of its leading weighing machinery.
