Yamato to unveil new Epsilon Multihead weigher and TSDN-3 at PPMA
Yamato Scale Dataweigh UK is delighted to be back exhibiting at this year’s PPMA, to demonstrate the world-beating capabilities of its leading inspection and automatic weighing equipment. The much-anticipated ‘live’ show will take place in Birmingham’s NEC between September 28-30.
After the event had to be cancelled last year due to Covid restrictions, Yamato’s senior management team are excited to have the opportunity to unveil its new leading Epsilon range of multihead weighers, dubbed the new ‘Stick’ machine, as well as it’s x-ray inspection machines, it’s newly launched TSDN-3 as well as a new range of hygienic checkweighers – and to have the opportunity to demonstrate their advantages through a series of real-life demos.

Yamato UK is fully focused on helping its customers succeed in business, which is why its products undergo rigorous testing, to ensure accuracy, COP compliance and hygiene.
It is exhibiting at stand B14 where visitors will see the full range of Yamato weighing equipment, including multihead weighers, the semi-automatic dataweigh range and its hygienic checkweighing solutions. Yamato’s experts will be on hand to explain the intricacies of the different machines and how to use them to greatest effect.
The new stick machine has been created to weigh and orientate long products such as dog chews. The product is aligned on the top of the weigher before being weighed utilising the unique feed and weigh bucket gating system. Once weighed the product is discharged perfectly orientated ready for packing.
With product safety increasingly important, Yamato’s team are looking forward to the opportunity to demonstrate the versatility of its weighing and inspection machines across a vast range of applications from wet items such as meat, poultry and fish to delicate products such as salads, fruit and vegetables.
Yamato’s engineers designed the TSDN-3 to provide enhanced levels of hygiene, with its stainless steel construction, and easy tool-free removal of conveyors to enable fast and efficient cleaning and sanitisation.
A full range of Yamato weighing and inspection equipment will be on show including multihead weighers, Yamato’s semi-automatic dataweigh range, Xray and I-Series checkweighers.
Yamato will be demonstrating its entire weighing and checkweighing solutions, showing how they can be installed at various stages in the production line to achieve the best results for every processor’s unique needs.
In particular, Yamato will be showing customers how it can help ensure compliance with government and supermarket standards using state-of-the-art metal detection and x-ray technology.
The YX20 x-ray inspection machine, for example, is compliant with BRC, supermarket standards and features an advanced linear array with proven inspection algorithms.
The inclusion of an x-ray system adds another layer of important checks to your processing and packaging line. Coming in the processing line after metal detection and checkweighing, an x-ray machine provides an additional deep visual check in real-time for foreign bodies in packaged products, as well as automated rejection.
Andrea Spencer, commercial operations manager for Yamato Scale Dataweigh UK, said: “We are excited to show customers the improvements we have made to existing machines and to reveal the benefits that our new ranges will deliver.
“Our commitment to R&D means that Yamato inspection and detection equipment remains cutting edge in terms of design, ease of use and compliance. Our recently launched global knowledge sharing initiative means that Yamato’s sales advisers are among the most technically able in our industry.
